George Washington³ SIMCOE; born 1810 at KY; married Eliza Payne 11 May 1835 at Mason, KY; Mason is 50 miles up the Ohio river from Cincinnita and about 100 miles west of Charleston WV; married Fannie Summerson circa 1840; married Parthenia Spilman (see #7), daughter of Thomas Augustus Spilman and Kitty Lang Greer, 22 Apr 1848 at King George, VA; died 4 Jul 1867 at New Kent, VA.

As of circa 1838, he was also known as Rev. He was Circuit Rider Minister for the Methodist Church. As a Circuit Minister he would not have been assigned a specific church, but would have made the circuit preaching at each church assigned to him in turn. The Methodist's New Kent Co. circuits included: Pamunkey, Tabernacle, Mt.Vernon, New Kent Chapel and Kelton after 1852 at New Kent, VA. He was ordained on 24 Oct 1852 at Methodist Episcopal Curch, Fredericksburg, VA; He was previously ordained a Deacon at the Methodist Conference in Kentucky in 1838.

(Note: He emigrated from France by way of England prior to 1693 and setteled in Westmoreland County, VA. He was naturalized in the Colony of Virginia under the anglicized name of Dishman. Some databases name his father as Issac without having supporting sources). As of 1671, he was also known as Samuel Du Chemin. He left a will on 15 Nov 1726 at Westmoreland, VA; I give & bequeath unto my Eldest Son, JOHN DISHMAN, all my lands in STAFFORD County.* I give to my Son, JAMES DISHMAN, all my Lands in KING GEORGE County. I give & bequeath unto my Son, JOHN DISHMAN, half ye lands belonging to me in the County of Westmoreland and the other half to my beloved Wife, CORNELIA DISHMAN, during her natural life & after her decease to my Son, JAMES DISHMAN.

The eight known children of Samuel⁸ DISHMAN and Mrs Cornelia DISHMAN (see #31) all born at Westmoreland, VA, were as follows:

ii. John; born 1700; married Frances Sanford circa 1722 at Westmoreland, VA; died 1739 at Westmoreland, VA.

He left a will on 31 Mar 1738 at Westmoreland, VA; I give and bequeath my Land in PRINCE WILLIAM County to be sold at the discression of my Executors to the highest bidder. I give and bequeath my land in Westmoreland County to my loving Wife during her natural life & after her decease to be equally divided between my two Sons, SAMUEL DISHMAN and JOHN DISHMAN. I ordain and appoint my loving Brother, JAMES DISHMAN, and my loving Wife FRANCES DISHMAN, to be the Executors.

She was also known as Cornelia. (Note: Some databases state she was a Diggs without having supporting documentation).

32. John⁸ WEEDON Sr. (Thomas, #38); born circa 1685 at Westmoreland, VA; died before 23 Sep 1740 at Westmoreland, VA.

He left a will on 23 Sep 1740 at Westmoreland, VA; 100 acres to son John; eldest son Augustine Weedon land; eldest dau. Mary and youngest dau. Sarah; two sons to be exrs.

The four known children of John⁸ Weedon Sr. and an unknown spouse were as follows:

i. Augustine⁷; born circa 1715; married Rebekah Baker; died circa 1763.

iii. John Jr; born circa 1717; married Molly Prichard; died circa 1775.
