Frances's mother's mother. She died in 1896 when Frances was
four.

was affectionately known as Aunt Ada and was the
Burroughs' Richmond home provider. She was the business
manager of the Methodist Orphanage of Richmond for
many years. She must have followed the lead of her
preacher Grandfather Simcoe, because she was very
strict allowing no alcohol in her home. |
