Thomas PITT was born circa 1535. He married
Priscilla SEARLE circa 1560. He died before
5 August 1613; will probated 5 Aug 1613. (Note: He was Great-Great
grandfather of Prime Minister William Pitt, the Chamberlain
of Bristol and a merchant. His son William and William's son,
Robert were ship owners, merchants and sailors. After William
died in 1624, Robert and a number of his brothers and sisters
moved to America).
William WILSON was born in 1545 at Wellsbourne,
Lincolnshire, England. He married Isabel WOODHALL
circa 1570. He was educated in 1607 at Merton College, Oxford,
England; B.A. 1564, M.A. 1570, B.D. 1576, D.D. 1607. He was
Canon circa 1610 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, England.
He died on 15 May 1615 at Windsor Castle, England.
Robert PITT was born in 1607. He married Martha
LEAR circa 1630. He married Elizabeth STEVENS
after 1645. He died in June 1672 at Isle of Wright, VA. (Note:
As a sea merchant he owned a fleet of ships which sailed out
of the Port at Bristol, England. He had moved to the colonies
by 1637 where he accumulated many thousands of acres in VA.
Between 1649 and 1660 he served as a member of the House of
Burgesses for Isle of Wight County. Served as a Lt. Colonel
in 1662 commanding the Isle of Wight Militia and on the Governor's
Council).
Benois BRASHEAR was born in 1610 at France.
As of 1610, he was also known as Benjamin BRASSEUIR.
He married MARY RICKFORD, daughter of Mr
RICKFORD, in 1645 at VA. He died in 1663 at Near Chesapeake

Cadwallader JONES was born circa 1652 at Stafford,

and 1696 to Philadelphia, PA; from Wales. He married Mary

Samuel PIKE. (Note: English Colonial Immigrant).
He was born on 29 October 1678 at London, England. He died
on 11 June 1717 at Pasquotank, NC, at age 38.
John HOUGH. (Note: English Colonial Immigrant).
He was born on 6 July 1682 at Hough, Wilmslow Parish, Cheshire,
England. He married Eleanor SANDS on 1 June
1714 at Middleton, Bucks, PA. He died on 17 November 1744
at Solebury Twp., Bucks, PA, at age 62.
William TEAGUE was born in 1693 at Teggs Delight,
Cecil, MD. He married Isabella E. PENNINGTON,
daughter of Abraham PENNINGTON and Mary
ELKTON, circa 1714 at Connawangoe Creek, Cecil, MD.
(Note: William sold his Fathers land in 1714 at age 21. Migrated
to Fredrick Co., Virginia Abt. 1737 Ref: Deed for William
in Cecil Co. Maryland. Ref: Deeds in Fredrick Co. Virginia
C1737 list three sons. Ref: Left Fredrick Co. Virginia for
the Carolinas 1751). He left a will in November 1752 at Rowan,
NC; Will was proven November 1762 in Rowan County, NC.
He died between 26 May 1762 and July 1762 at Rowan, NC.
Aquilla Bedford PITTS was born on 15 October
1823 at Abbotts Creek, Stokes, NC. He married Rebecca
MARTIN, daughter of James MARTIN and
Nancy WOODS, on 6 May 1844 at Stokes, NC. He
died on 1 December 1892 at Forsyth, NC, at age 69. He was
buried after 1 December 1892 at Saints Delight Baptist Church,
Forsyth, NC. (Note: Aquilla is Latin for "Hawk".
He was an active republican in a Democrat Co. Qualified as
a Justice - Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions - March AD
1857. Was a Justice of the Court for Sept term 1858. He is
listed with the 71 Regiment, 9th Division, 17th Brigade NC
Militia 1861-1865 Forsyth Co).
Andrew Jackson PITTS was born on 27 June 1856
at Forsyth, NC. He married Martha Ann HUFF,
daughter of David HUFF and Matilda SMITH,
on 12 October 1877 at Forsyth, NC. He married Amanda
SWAIN on 27 April 1885. He married Ida Caroline
PATTERSON on 28 March 1891. He died on 7 May 1929 at
Forsyth, NC, at age 72. He was buried after 7 May 1929 at
Saints Delight, Winston-Salem, NC. (Note: Andrew was abt 5'8"
tall with a massive chest and muscular arms even in his 60's.
He maintained his farm like a game preserve and no one was
allowed to kill anything, consequently there was an abundance
of game on the farm including wild turkeys).
