Thanks to Contributors

Collecting and documenting Genealogy is nearly 100% building on the work of others. This page will acknowledge some of the major contributors to this effort.

Margaret Gay Burgess (Mother)

Margaret Gay Burgess accumulated a wealth of information on all families. She completed her own four level pedigree chart. Her efforts led to the classification of Yellow House as a registered Historical Landmark. She led work in the Chesterfield Historical Society to document all county graveyards. Finally, she communicated a passion for family and history that is a basis for this work.

Carole Ledbetter Burgess (Wife)

Carole Ledbetter Burgess for her suggestions, editing and support. Her family history is published in The Story of a Tidewater Family.

Charlotte Burgess Biggs (Aunt)

Charlotte Burgess Biggs as the senior living member of the John Abe and Florence Bradshaw Burgess family, her memories are of great value. She has also collected many important documents such as the Bradshaw family tree. We are also very proud that she uses her PC to communicate and provide real time answers to family questions. Her PC knowledge has enabled her to computerize her Mother's Diary included in the Bradshaw Family publication.

Charlotte McMillan Estes (Cousin)

Charlotte McMillan Estes as a granddaughter of John Abe and Florence Bradshaw Burgess and an active genealogist has made significant contributions.

Cherie Burgess Shindell (Aunt)

Cherie Burgess Shindell the deceased oldest child of John Abe and Florence Bradshaw Burgess contributed a genealogy rich autobiography. As an 80-year-old widow, she purchased a PC and developed the know-how to compose this with a word processor.

Sarah Lois Ketcham Story (Cousin)

Sarah Lois Ketcham Story for her contributions and critiques of the Parker family information. Her active email communication is also appreciated.

Inez Gay Long Bryner (Cousin)

Inez Gay Long Bryner for her excellent research and 114 page book on the Gay Family. Much of the Gay Family information comes directly from her work.

Donald L. Gay (Distant Cousin 0.9)

Donald L. Gay for his information on the Jonathan Gay ancestor's issue. His Charles Gay Ancestor and Jonathan Gay probably had the same Thomas Gay as father. His email from Saudi Arabia is most valued.
